Ninja Nani & The Freaky Food Festival, by Lavanya Karthik
Those who know me and my book recommendations know I love reading comic books. They are fun, easy to finish thereby giving even the most reluctant reader a sense of accomplishment, and they are exciting! But more on comic books in another post...soon.
This book, the latest in the Ninja Nani series by @_lavanyakarthik_ is simply unputdownable! It brings back the characters of Deepu and Ninja nani and everyone's favourite Chef D but will everyonefind out the true identity of Gadbadnagar's superhero? Will Deepu be able to save the day when the future of Ninja Nani rests in his clumsy little hands? And will Nani enter a food contest? Err... Maybe no to the last one!
Your child will of course fall in love with the story but will also not stop singing praises of the illustrations that seem to have a mind of their own! They push the story along and pull you along for the crazy ride! Strap in because this one is about to get wild!
My favourite part of the book as a parent? The hilarious names of the characters, (I laughed for 5 whole minutes when I read Chef D's full name!) The really relatable characters and the fact that Giggles has already read the book a few times since we got it yesterday. It's just so funny, he says!
