My kids are football fanatics, no, make that football-obsessed! One of the best things I ever did for them was buy them this book because they read it like one would read the Bible -- all day, every day.
Since I don't know much about football, I am going to let Giggles (9) write this review.
This is an incredible book that has multiple facts about football starting right from 4000 years ago to the multi-nation conglomerate we know it as today. The book shows how football took over the world. It has chapters focussed on the rules, tactics, and a close look at the many football leagues around the world. It also highlights football positions and greats who have played those positions. There are also pages dedicated to the many World Cups starting from 1930-2014 and a look at each country and its footballing history. Have a head for numbers? Then you will love the pages dedicated to statistics from across the ages. Did you know there were different types of goals? Know all about it from this book!
