HOW TO FURTHER YOUR CHILD'S LOVE FOR PLANTS, FLOWERS, AND TREES
Gurgles (5) is a bit of an environmentalist, or so we proud parents would like to believe. He is fascinated with flowers and plants and even wants to learn their names. While I know the basics of photosynthesis and the names of a few basic flowers, I needed to read up if I was to answer his questions!
This book is perfect if you are in a similar situation. It is filled with bright and colourful pictures to hold a young child's interest without them being too bogged down by facts. It is divided into clear sections like the world of plants, non-flowering plants, flowering plants, living with plants etc. And trust me, my child is transfixed by this book! He reads it daily, looks at plants in the neighbourhood and compares flowers, and can now identify a dozen or more plant species! This is a must-have encyclopaedia for kids because it does its job without being too textbook-like.
@dkbooksindia has always been a favourite in our household, and this one is another winner.
