We are a fan of reruns in our household and as on many days this post month @abcmodernfam episodes were on loop as we attended to errands. As we laughed along we didn't expect Gurgles (5) to ask an all pertinent question. "Why does Lily have two dadas? How can she be born without a mamma?"
Valid questions but how were we going to explain? @usborne_books All about families came to the rescue! This book is a wonderful way for young children to understand different family sizes, nuclear and joint families, why we have families in the first place, and how families can change over time. It even covers important aspects of diversity! This book is a real goldmine if you are looking to have important discussions with your child when a new baby is coming along or even if you are just trying toexplain why that family down the street looks different from your own!
Beautiful illustrations and easy to read sentences make this book perfect for young readers but don't hesitate to pull it out for older kids too!
