HOW TO GET YOUR CHILD INTERESTED IN THEIR IMMEDIATE SURROUNDINGS

I have a pet peeve and I'm sure I will have a lot of parents nodding along. Do you ever find your child rattling off stats and facts about countries and knowing more about food from faraway lands a lot better than what they know about their own country and their own cuisine?

In a bid to get Gurgles (5) interested in his immediate world and to find wonder and beauty in gardens and trees around him, I bought these books. Little did I know I was about to create a monster! Gurgles, now, does not go for a walk without these books in his backpack. Everytime he find something interesting he will pull out the corresponding book and look for it! These books are so great because they are written keeping Indian surroundings, local language, and Indian conditions in mind -- making them so relatable!

So this #earthday, make an investment in these books if you are trying to raise a little #earthwarrior and believe me you will begin to see the world around you very differently too!
