Giggles (8) has been listening to the news with us and ended up having a very skewed version of what Indian women are "allowed" to do. He had questions about the Ghoonghat, about why women were being shushed and so on. So this book was perfect for this week.

This book is a collection of fifty awe-inspiring stories of fifty Indian women from diverse walks of life. Where we have @marykomofficial and @priyankachopra, we also have V Nanammal and MS Subbalakshmi. These are all stories of courage and how these women have stood up to patriarchy and trailblazed their way to exactly where they want to be. Add to that the gorgeous illustrations by @niloufer.artist and each story comes alive in a child's imagination.

Giggles' favourite page is the one dedicated to the scientists who inspired @missionmangalmovie. This book is an afternoon well spent and opens doors to so many interesting conversations!
